The 7th General Conference of the

Balkan Physical Union

Alexandroupolis 9 - 13 September 2009

The BPU executive committee in the Istanbul meeting of 2006, during the BPU6 Conference, has decided, following a proposal of the Hellenic Physical Society, that the next general conference will take place in Alexandroupolis, Greece. In the executive committee meeting of the 22nd of March 2008 in Kavala and discussions we had afterwards it was decided that the BPU7 will be held from 9 to 13 September 2009.

The conference is organized by the Balkan Physical Union and the Hellenic Physical Society with the cooperation of the Physics Departments of the:

• University of Athens
• University of Crete
• University of Ioannina
• University of Patras and the
• University of Thessaloniki

Coorganisers of the BPU7 are also:

• Perfecture of Evros
• Municipality of Alexandroupolis
